Palestine Solidarity Campaign: governance, leadership and accounts

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

A British membership campaign whose leadership transition and published finances require precise dates.

Evidence reviewed: 17 October 2026. Roles, financial periods, allegations and legal outcomes retain their stated dates. Later appointments are distinguished from officials already serving.

Organization and governing structure

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, abbreviated PSC, is a British campaigning organization concerned with Palestinian rights. Its governance page describes an elected Executive Committee, with member, branch and affiliate participation, plus student, youth and trade-union representation. An annual meeting sets campaigning priorities. This is a membership and advocacy structure, rather than a political party, a government ministry or an assumption that all people supporting Palestinians belong to the same institution. [1]

Leadership as of October 17, 2026

A May 8, 2026 official statement announced Ben Jamal’s resignation as director and interim leadership by deputy directors alongside elected leaders. An August 5 announcement named Aimee Shalan as the incoming director, explicitly stating that she would start at the beginning of November 2026. Accordingly, at this page’s October 17 cutoff she is director-designate, not already the serving director. The reviewed announcements do not name each interim deputy, so this page does not invent that roster. [2][3]

Campaigning and identifiable activities

The organization’s annual-meeting account describes demonstrations, boycott and divestment work, campaigns concerning arms sales, and cooperation with students and trade unions. These are the organization’s reported activities, not proof that it directs every related demonstration or agrees with every affiliated participant. Potential civic benefits include helping members engage in public debate and pooling campaign resources; evaluating its political claims requires examining evidence separately from its own descriptions of success. [4]

Published money and reporting dates

The published report for the year ended August 31, 2024 lists £3,319,330 in total income, including £3,093,595 in donations and membership. These are annual organizational figures, not the budget of one march. Companies House records show that accounts through August 31, 2025 were filed in April 2026; that later filing period should not be confused with the older figures quoted here. Neither the older category totals nor the filing index identifies every ultimate donor. [5][6]

Accountability questions

Legitimate scrutiny can examine whether financial reporting matches the correct legal entity, how elected oversight functions and which statements are authorized. A legal company director, a paid campaign director and an incoming appointee can be different roles. Those distinctions help readers assess influence without imputing a foreign-government relationship from someone’s heritage, political commitments or contact with an overseas cause.
